LINCOLNTON, N.C. - On Friday , March 2 Lincolnton Middle School hosted a fundraiser banquet for their Adaptive Playground funding.
“The event was a MONUMENTAL success!” said Dr. DANA Ayers, Principal of Lincolnton Middle School. She said that as of now their numbers, of course, are not finalized but she wanted everyone to know that they exceeded their initial goal of $10,000. Preliminary numbers show that LMS raised more than $14,000 in a single evening. This is phenomenal! This was made possible by the dedicated staff at LMS, community members and local businesses who donated auction items, and four local business people who birthed this idea. These business people are members of the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce LEADS group. They are Curt Moore of EPIC Services and Consulting, Jason Beckley of OmniStar Financial Group, Erika Thompson - Senior Sales Director of Mary Kay, and Suzanne Strength of HouseMaster of Lake Norman. Their willingness to partner with LMS and desire to promote this project and event with the Chamber of Commerce has taken them much closer to their fundraising goal and plans to build the adaptive playground in the coming months! Dr. Ayers extended her thanks to the community for coming out to support the Build, Bargain & Banquet Spaghetti Dinner and Auctions. “This was truly an amazing turnout for a wonderful cause! Thanks again to everyone who made this such a great success!” This article was originally published by Monique Cespedes for the Lincolnton Herald. Comments are closed.
